DRIVING

Cars and taxis enter Chelsea Piers through
the primary entrance located at 23rd Street and
the West Side Highway. A secondary entrance
is available at 16th St. and moderately priced
on-site parking is available on Chelsea Piers.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The M23 bus crosses Manhatten on 23rd Street
and stops directly in front of Chelsea Piers. The
M23 connects with all of Manhattan's north-south
bus routes and subway lines. Subway-bus connections
are convenient to the following 23rd Street stations:

  • Number 6 Line - Park Avenue

  • N, R - Broadway/Fifth Avenue

  • F, PATH - Sixth Avenue

  • #1, #9 - Seventh Avenue

  • C, E - Eighth Avenue

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS

Traffic lights and crosswalks guide pedestrians,
skaters and cyclists safely accross the highway
to the Chelsea Piers entrances at 23rd Street and
16th Street at the Hudson River. A 1.2-mile public
esplande extends around the perimeter of the piers
complex and an interior walkway, called Sunset Strip,
connects the facilities. Motorized on-site "people movers"
are available to shuttle visitors from one pier to another
and bicycle racks are also available on the piers.
